The Muskingum River Woodland Interest Group, MRWIG, is a non-profit, natural resource organization which provides educational events concerning the forests of the Muskingum River watershed. Our members include private woodland owners, professional resource managers, and other environmentally conscience individuals.

MRWIG President and out-going MRWIG Secretary Adam Komar will host a joint presentation on prescribed fire in a grassland and forest setting. The focus of this talk will be explaining the benefits and risks of prescribed fire on public and private land, as well as the technical expertise required to successfully utilize fire to achieve objectives.
