3rd Annual Field Day & Potluck

Saturday, October 26th

3-8 pm

Blue Rock State Forest

6665 Cutler Lake Road

Blue Rock, OH 43720

In lieu of our annual field day in September and annual banquet in November, we are combining the two events this year!

The afternoon session from 3-5 pm will focus on a tour of a recent prescribed burn at Blue Rock State Forest. It will include discussions about oak management, silviculture, streamside management zones, BMPs, and wildlife habitat. Dress for the weather and wear appropriate footwear.

This will be followed by a presentation on Federal cost-assistance programs, potluck dinner, and silent auction & raffle. The evening will conclude with a stargazing and astronomy program.

In addition to a potluck item for all to share, attendees are encouraged to bring an item for the silent auction. Auction proceeds go towards funding a student sponsorship to Camp Canopy.

Members will be able to renew their annual MRWIG membership ($10) at the event or by completing a renewal form that will be included with the December MRWIG newsletter.

If you are interested in attending, please fill out the registration form (PDF below) by Friday, October 18th. Mail it to the Blue Rock address above, or email to
